Why not reply in Norse - that will keep them guessing.

I personally feel embarrassed that I can't speak any other languages other than English and a little bit of Kerneuk (a gaelic language from Cornwall) - so I always ensure rhyming slang and similar non-English words aren't used, and I can be completely understood ...... and if people can't communicate in English when it is meant to be their birth language, then they are the ones that need to learn.

Congratulations, you have the most amazing patience, to have entertained the idea of having a decent conversation with him after his first mistake of not reading your profile, then his own spelling mistakes.

They way I type I don't need any help to be illegible. The worst part being that I can spell - so I spend near as much time deleting to correct things as I do actually making forward progress.

I should be glad to lend an axe for the berserker appearance

Lilli, your usage of English is quite fabulous. The Sandinavians, the Dutch (and the Flemmish) are astounding linguists often. Many whose first language is English fail to master it to any real extent, alas. It is equally true that every language grouping has more than its fair share of dickheads!

Lilli, you make me smile. I have words for these guys: doofus, dried up dick wad, asshat, numbskull, shit for brains. I don't know how you are so patient with these clowns.

I agree with the others who have complimented you. As a third language your proficiency in English puts most average Americans to shame. (Especially the ones trolls who intrude on your life and try and convince you to be a source of erotic stimulation for them without having any idea of who you are or what you want.

You know what, Lilli, i understand you completely. I don't think you're being a bitch at all and in no way deserve to be treated the way that idiot did.

I don't think I have ever encountered a Kerneuk speaker. Do you fly the Cornish flag as well?

I do fly the flag, albeit a small one displayed in my window with a Union Jack in the other window - I bet it confuses so many train travellers passing by.

I really must do a pic of my Cornish Hunting tartan kilt - I'm sure it will get the ladies vote on shortness !!

You tend to write better than some native speakers of English. The nerve of that slug who contacted you. Imbecile is the word i would use for him.

I remember seeing the flag on a car window in London and asking what it was. I thought it was a pirate flag of some sort.

You're not wrong on that one - the Cornish are famous wreckers of ships and smugglers of the highest order, yet too laid back for piracy unless it involves stealing from the Excise man (tax collectors of that era).

The St Pirans flag is flown with pride by the Cornish to warn the English of our habits

I have no clue what vidme means either

My husband pointing out to me recently that I also used to use text talk when we first met to which I could say that yes I did but there was actually a reason for it. In those Nokia days the amount of characters being used in text messages were limited... Nowadays it’s just laziness or maybe coolness, perhaps depending how close to teenage years you are... x
